Speaking of Dying is a documentary that captures the importance of speaking openly about all aspects of the dying process. This film will inspire and encourage you to talk to your friends, family, health care agents and medical providers about your own end of life planning, choices and wishes. It will motivate you to become more informed – long before a crisis. Most of all, it will help you believe that your life can have a peaceful and meaningful ending that will be a gift to yourself, and to your loved ones.
This event will allow seniors and their families to connect with helpful resources available to them right here in our community. These resource include continuing mature learning opportunities, tips and help for starting a business or non-profit, volunteer opportunities, financial education, Social Security and Medicare assistance, and others.
This event will showcase the many accomplishments of Oregon’s Veterans, Reservists, and their families, via the non-profits, small businesses and entertainment opportunities they have created. It will also serve as a fundraiser to support our work at The Veterans and Family Resource Center of Oregon. There will be of a range of activities; car show, to an all-inclusive USO-style, “Veteran’s Sweethearts Dance”.

The Clark County Event Center, Ilani and the greater Clark County Community are partnering up to throw a massive 4th of July Event!
Over 400 Show Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles & Military Vehicles, Huey Helicopter landing, West Coast Ravens Fly Over, Race Cars, Veterans Tribute Ceremony, Bagpipe Band, Corral Creek Bluegrass & Got Your Six R&R Bands, Classic Tracks DJ, Great Food, Huge Raffle, 50/50 Raffle all included.
Proceeds support: Salvation Army Veterans & Family Center (Temporary Housing for 80 homeless Veterans and their families) and the Oregon Paralyzed Veterans of America.
